Methods of Payment
Raphaelsewing.com accepts the following forms of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card and Paypal. By inputting your credit card number through the checkout process, you agree to allow Raphaelsewing.com to bill your account through our secure billing methods. All account information remains 100% confidential and encryped by industry standard 256 Bit High Grade SSL. All credit cards with US billing addresses will be charged in US Dollars. All credit cards with Canadian billing addresses will be charged in Canadian Dollars. Payments made through Paypal can either be submitted in U.S. Dollars ($USD) or Canadian Dollars ($CAD).
Shipping Terms
All prices are listed as web only and must be shipped. All shipments require a physical address. Shipments to the USA are handled by UPS Ground or CanadaPost unless otherwise specified. Shipments within Canada are handled by CanadaPost ground or UPS Ground unless otherwise specified. For overweight shipments (over 145 lbs per box), a common skid carrier will be used. Any shipment may be transferred to a common carrier upon our discretion. All items unless otherwise specified are shipped from our location in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Shipments going to the USA by UPS ground will encounter a Customs/Brokerage fee (payable upon delivery) for items valued over $200. This fee will be approximately $30. If the machine is valued at over $1600, the fee will be approximately $40. We have no control over Customs fees that UPS / US Customs charges you. If you would like this fee to be pre-billed, please contact us.
Paypal payments can be made directly in either US Dollars or Canadian Dollars. All credit cards with US billing addresses will be charged in US Dollars. All credit cards with Canadian billing addresses will be charged in Canadian Dollars.
Warranty Information
Important: Buyer MUST call or E-MAIL us before returning or servicing any items.
We guarantee that all items will work upon arrival. In the event that an item is damaged in transit, an insurance claim will be filed with the shipping carrier and the item will either be replaced or repaired. If the merchandise arrived by UPS or CanadaPost we must be contacted within 48 hours. Contact us immediately if such a case occurs. If the merchandise arrived by freight, it must be inspected upon delivery and any damage must be noted on the delivery documents.
We ensure that your industrial sewing machine meets the highest standards of quality. Your Techsew industrial sewing machine is covered by a limited manufacturer's warranty for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase. This covers any manufacturer's defects, parts & labour. The motor supplied with the machine is guaranteed for a period of 1 year.
Warranty shall not apply to machines that have been damaged or modified by a third party or improperly/neglectfully operated or stored under abnormal conditions.
Customer must contact us before returning a machine for repair. Buyer is responsible for any shipping fees associated with returning a machine for repair.
Customers are strongly encouraged to keep the original box and packing material for the machine head, should it ever need a repair. We cannot guarantee safe transport if the machine is not packaged in its original box and foam. If the original box and foam have been discarded, we can offer a courtesy package for a minor fee to ensure safe delivery of the merchandise.
A 6 month warranty applies for any other items not listed above such as: dress
forms, parts, scissors, electric fabrics cutters, heat presses: Item must be
packaged in its original box. We will pay for return shipping charges from our
location back to you. Customer is responsible for return shipping charges to our
location and insuring the items arrives without any damage.
Exception: Remote areas such as: Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, North West Territories,
Yukon, Nunavut, contact us for details.
Refund Information
We do not offer refunds, however we do accept exchanges within 30 calender days from the delivery of merchandise. Once an order has been placed we are unable to cancel the transaction. A request for a merchandise exchange must be made before the 30th calender day beginning from the date of delivery. Merchandise can only be returned to our location as an exchange. Customers must contact us for a return authorization. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges to and from our location, as well as any additional charges that may apply. Shipping charges are not refundable. Merchandise must arrive in the same condition as it was received by the buyer. Restocking fees are as follows: Between 1 and 30 days since purchase (15%). Between 31 and 60 days since purchase (18.5%). Between 61 and 90 days since purchase (20%). Between 91 and 120 days since purchase (25%). Between 121 and 150 days since purchase (30%). Between 151 and 180 since purchase (35%). After 180 days we no longer accept exchanges.
